Quality Management Staff in Columbus, Ohio

Duties to include, but not limited to the following:

The Quality Management Nurse provides direct support to the Quality Management Coordinator by assuring that Service Chiefs and Supervisors plan, design, integrate, implement, modify and evaluate performance improvement plans to evaluate and improve the quality of patient care. The Quality Management Nurse executes designated responsibilities demonstrating leadership and creativity in the management of the integrated performance improvement program; Identifies patterns and trends in performance improvement data for local, VISN and Headquarter sources; Tracks VA ACC performance using national databases and the OQP web site, to provide timely information about clinical guidelines and performance measures; Communicates improvement measures, such as ORXY Measures, EPRP, and Clinical Practice Guidelines to the appropriate committees.

Tour of Duty: M-F 8-4:30pm no holidays/weekend/on-call work.

OhioHealth is seeking a Director of Accreditation for our Riverside Methodist Hospital. In this role, you will be responsible for directing hospital-wide activities designed to ensure ongoing RMH accreditation by the Joint Commission as well as helping to coordinate applications for other types of certifications, recognitions, or awards such as Magnet, subspecialty accreditation, Ohio Partnership for Excellence, the Baldrige Award. You will serve as a hospital consultant on issues related to any type of accreditation process, interpretation of standards, mechanisms for successful implementation of new or revised standards and to ensure compliance with any appropriate regulatory body.

Requirements:

  • Master’s Degree in Hospital Administration or healthcare related field
  • BSN or Bachelor’s degree in other clinical healthcare related field
  • Current license in professional area of practice
  • 5 years of healthcare management experience with increasing levels of responsibility in a hospital, healthcare system or other healthcare setting
  • At least 3 years of experience in tertiary care or a teaching facility
  • 5 years of experience in quality assurance/improvement
  • Demonstrated ability to act as a change agent
  • In-depth understanding of project management, process improvement and clinical processes
  • Expertise in performance improvement and quality control
  • Must demonstrate substantial knowledge of TJC, CMS, and other regulatory agency/accrediting body requirements
  • Knowledge and experience working with accreditation standards, health care regulation and/or policy formulation
